Or alternately even if we do not question the form that we attribute to god, the more important question is regarding the belief of mankind - God created everything for Man. The earth, plants, animals, water, land, sky etc.(Garden of Eden) are supposed to be adjuncts to the existence of man.
God created Eden(or alternately the seven worlds according to Hindu mythology), gave man the facilities and then said "Go forth and multiply". Since then man has mistaken gods good natured effort to improve his faculties by excercizing his brain with multiplication tables (2x2=4, 2x3=6 etc.) and has trained his brain on other functions of his body. So instead of better brains than Adam what we see is the population explosion. Scientifically people like Mendel and Darwin have tried to explain how and why we are here whereas Dinosaurs are gone. I do not want to go into the details but it suffices to say that even these theories are homo-centric(geared towards man).
Evolutionary theorists have already argued that Darwin's theory is just one manifestation of the theory that everything happens so that DNA can replicate itself. So why can't we realize that Man etc. exists so that Virus can survive and replicate.
Let us examine the evidence in favor of this theory. Human form is so well engineered to be a host for a Virus. Virus undergo natural selection and survival of the fittest processes too. Obviously they have to, considering the time and effort another species called the Home Sapiens spend to disrupt their Life Cycle. They evolve into mutant strains when man tries to fiddle with creation by trying to meddle with Virus life cycle. We might have been able to eradicate some of them(e.g. Small Pox) but that just goes to prove that we are not actually meant to be here. Dinosaurs came and went, Dodos came and went, Man has come and will be gone, Viruses will stay !
After all, God proved his preference by creating them first, Didn't he? For this we will have to rely on scientific evidence since I do not think Virus is mentioned in any Bible or Hindu scriptures. The simple reason for the same is that both the Bible and the Scriptures were written by Homo Sapiens. We might just be some anti-social elements, Or rather we might have been created as hosts to help Virus replicate. Human body is very well conditioned to be a host for a Virus. Just pick up a couple of Ph.D. theses from any Virology School and you can see the process explained so very clearly(I would recommend the Time magazine Jan'1997 issue to a layman).
So we can see that based on biblical, scriptural and scientific evidence Virus has a better claim to existence and survival and favor with God than mankind does. So Is God a Virus? or Is Virus the God?
