Why they show more sex in American movies than Indian movies

In India people do not show affection in public. It is not supposed to
be acceptable social behaviour. So in the movies if they just show the
hero holding the heroines hand and the heroine lets him, that is enough to
tell the audience that they accept each other. Whereas in US where
showing affection in public by kissing or embracing is natural, the
only way it can be shown on screen that two people like and accept each other
is by showing something they wouldn't have otherwise done i.e. have sex.
Of course there is always the more plausible reason that they want to sell
more tickets ;-)
